Uplifting Card

Hey Guys,

Sometimes all you need is a simple card with a sentiment that says all you need to say. It doesn't have to be a Birthday or a Holiday card, it just needs to let that person know that you are there for them if they need you. It's purpose is to cheer the receiver up a bit if they're having a bad time.

I made this card with some Distress Inks. I placed each color straight on my X-Cut glass cutting mat and sprayed water with my mister. I put the smooth side of my watercolor paper on to the ink and moved it round a bit so the ink mixed together. When I lifted it I added more color by dabbing the paper back into the ink where I felt it needed more color. When I was satisfied with the outcome I put it to the side to dry.

When the paper had dried through I cut it to fit on my card stock then I added my sentiment. I used my anti static bag straight on the watercolour card before placing my stamp with Clear Versamark Ink and used white embossing powder. After using my heating tool on the sentiment I found that the card seemed a little bare so I added silver stitch lines using a gel pen. To make sure I Got the lines straight i used my Dovecraft ruler. I adhered it to some cream card stock with foam squares.

These cards are handy to make in bulk or as needed. They're nice to give to friends and family if they're having a bad day. These sentiments are nice and even give some good advise, which is why I like using them for these type of occasions.
