Believe In Yourself

Hey Guys,

I got the color from this card with the left overs from the previous cards I made. I mixing all the colors together and it all got very messy but I enjoy playing with my Distress Inks. I left some white on this card delibrately to give the unfinished look.

I used some black glitter finish embossing powder on the sentiment on white card stock to make it stand out. It did not come out very well but works well with the card. You can still read what it says and that is the important thing. This card is meant to be a 'learn from your mistakes' meaning card. By making a few errors in the card shows just that. I am also still learning about my embossing powders and now know to use them in a more crisp easy to read Stamps with not much detail. I know you can get some ultra fine embossing powders to use with more detailed stamps, I haven't got any yet though.

The ribbon I used came from my boyfriends Grandmother. She had lots of different ribbon and let me have a look through and to take whatever I wanted. I made two strips of the ribbon cross each other to give it a little extra detail and used washy tape to secure it to the back of the water color card. I stuck the sentiment in the corner with foam squares and stuck it all to some Pink card stock.

This card idea come from when you still have some ink left over on your mat and instead of wasting  it  I just got a card and mixed the colors to see what come out. i was shocked to see that i got a dark pink for mine.

What colors have you made? Leave a comment below, I'd love to hear what you come up with.

Thanks for visiting my blog today,

 Love
