I'm Officially Out Of Work

Hey Everyone,

It's been an emotional time for me these last few weeks. I have been made redundant and had to say goodbye to everyone I worked with. Some were easy to say goodbye to but others were hard. I worked with them for 6 year and seeing a shop close down that's been there for almost 17 years.

When another door closes another opens and now onto another chapter in my life. i have no idea what i'll do. what job i'll get into next but i know that it will be good if not better for me.

I shall be doing some crafting in the next few days. i have not forgotten about my cards but with everything going on i just didn't have the time or the creative mind to do any.

Thank You so much for visiting my blog today, feel free to leave a comment.

Three Cards With Same Techniques.

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog today

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. Its been a bit crazy around here. I only have five shifts left in my job and its getting a bit nerve racking. Everyone's been saying how hard it is to get a job and I have never been without a job for more than a couple of weeks. I just hope I find something soon.
I've also been busy sorting out my crafting area. I've been searching the web for some ideas on how to store things. My crafting supplies are growing at a speed I cant quite keep up with. I will share it all with you when I have finished.

Today I am here today to share some of the cards I made the other day. I had no time to share them with you then, so I thought I'd share them with you now.

For the first card I made the background using Distress ink. I blended the browns and yellows and I think it looks really nice. I used my Lawn Fawn Critters Down Under stamp set and colored them in using Letraset Promarkers. I adhered the koala and the bird to the tree using pva glue then stuck all the images to the background using glue as well.
I Stamped my sentiment using white Ink but it didn't come up right so I waited for it to dry then went over it with a silver metallic gel pen. These pens are handy for little mistakes like this and I'm glad I bought them when i did.

After making my mother a new home card I decided to make another. I used my Paper Smooches bitty bungalows stamp set and used most of the images. I colored them in using Promarkers
and stuck them to the background using pva glue. I used glue because there was so much to go on the card I didn't want to spoil it by using dimension. I stamped my sentiment using my alphabet letters from Hobby Craft. I bought it on sale weeks ago.
The background was made using distress inks and a blending technique. I used my greens to get a gradient look.

The last card is another kitty card. I used Distress inks in the same way as before only this time I used a light purple blended in with a pink. I really like how this background turned out. I colored in my images using promarkers and stuck them down with glue. I tried my white ink pad again with no luck and used my gel pen over it to cover another mistake.

I stuck all my card front onto some plain card stock using foam adhesive squares. Over all I'm happy with my cards. the same techniques can make very different cards.

Just a little update.

Hey everyone,
I know I haven't posted for a while and I have done Mich crafting either. I've been working on the dreaded CV. Apparently it's the only thing employers want now. I remember when all you did is fill an application form. Then my printer decided it didn't like my laptop anymore and didn't print anything. My Darling boyfriend soon for it working then I found some mistakes and I had to edit the whole thing.
I only have two weeks if work left and going into the world of job hunting is quite scary, especially when all I hear from people is that there's nothing out there.
I'm hoping to have a crafting day soon. I'm searching for a table to craft on. I'll share everything with you when it all happens.
Here's a pic of flea who's been doing very well, not fits for months bless.
Thanks for visiting my blog today and feel free to leave a comment.

Comic Cat Card

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for visiting my blog. Today I made another kitty card. This time I decided on a funny card. I chose my image and colored it in. I found my googly eyes that I bought a few weeks ago and I not had the chance to use them yet. I've seen many people use them on You Tube and thought they looked like a good way to add a bit of humor to a card.

I made my backing paper by using Picked Berries and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks on my glass mat, filled my Aquaflow Paintbrush with water and painted the colors onto my paper in diagonal lines.

I cut out my kitty image and stuck on the Googly Eyes and placed it on my watercolor paper after it was dry of course. I then went looking for a sentiment. I bought a bunch of ready made sentiments when I first started card making and I'm still trying to get through them. I stuck the one I chose onto the card.

I used orange card stock so the cat wouldn't look too much out of place. It kind of pulled everything together. I really like this card the image is so cute.

Please leave a comment below I would love to hear from you
