Halloween Card 2014 Number 09

Happy Halloween Everyone,

Today I'm going to show you the last card in the Halloween series. I thought Halloween would be perfect for the last card to be shown. I can start sharing my Christmas cards with you next week.

I used a unity Itty Bitty stamp creepy, Spooky & Scary and coloured them in using Promarkers. I simply fell in love with this stamp as soon as I saw it. It's so cute and cheeky. Instead of cutting out the image I decided to cut around the whole image. I coloured in the white background using a grey promarker. then I sponged the edges using distress ink pad.

I cut out the background using die cutters by Xcut and put it through my Bigshot machine. I'm really loving my Bigshot. It's the best gift I got from my boyfriend. Thanks Dave x.

I used a 6" x 6" back to basics IV paper pack from Dovecraft for the back ground. I also sponged the edges with distress ink. I find that it softens the edges nicely. I used small stix2 foam pads on my trick or treat image  to the patterned paper. Then stuck it all down to the card base using bigger foam squares. The card base was the pre-scored black card stock pack T got a while ago. I'm not sure where I got it from or the company that make them. It sure has come in handy for my Halloween cards this year.

For the sentiment I stamped the sentiment From Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting stamp set and stamped it on the same paper I had used for the background of the image. I cut it out at an angle to give it more emphasis and appeal more to the eye. A little quirkiness as it's Halloween. I used vintage photo around the edges to pull the card together.

I love how this card turned out. I think it looks really cute and anyone would love to receive a card like this, whether you go trick or treating or not, it's still a fun card.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, hope you have an amazing Halloween. If you have made any Halloween cards this year I would love it if you shared them with me. I love seeing everyone's cards they've made. Please feel free to leave any comments below.

Halloween Card 2014 Number 08

Hello Crafter's,

Welcome to my blog today.

Today I'm sharing the last Halloween card for this year. I realise I have left all my cards very late compared to everyone else. Everyone's started their Christmas cards and I've only just finished my Halloween cards. So I'm really behind the times. Never mind, so the card for today is a haunted house card. I had huge visions about this card and realising I didn't have all the crafting supplies to make my first idea. I had to gather everything I did have and plan it out carefully.

I Started by using Water coloor card and using Distress Ink for my background. I love making a night scene by using a dark blue and a dark green. I put it to the side while I worked on the images.

I used Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting stamp set and stamped the house image. I coloured it in using Promarkers. I used only the darkest colours I could to make it look more dark and spooky. I loved how it turned out. First of all I just wanted a silhouette of a house, but I think this turned out alot better.

I thought the house by it self looked a little bare so I stamped the tree image and put that on the card too. The bottom still looked a little bare so I decided to use the fence border stamp on the bottom. That's another reason I love Lawn Fawn stamps their border stamps are so easy to line up. I stamped the moon and coloured it in grey and a few bats too. I covered the moon, bats and the windows on the house in glossy accents.

For the sentiment I used Adirondeck ink in Rust. I stamp it straight onto the background. I wasn't sure how it would turn out as it was on water colour card which already had Distress Ink on. I was really surprised how clear it turned out. I used black soot distress ink around the edges of the watercolor card to help blend with the card. I used foam pads to adhere the back ground to my card base. I used my black card, these card bases have been used a lot this month and I still have a lot left over. They were a bargain.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, please comment below I would love to hear from you

Halloween 2014 card number 07

Hello Card makers,

Today I'm sharing a card which I had real fun making. I had the idea for this card as soon as I came across my googly eyes in the draw. I used the pumpkin stamp from paper smooches and decided to give them all different mouths but every one of them to have googly eyes.

I colored in my images using promarkers and went around the edges with my memento duo pen. I made the back ground using my bat background stamp from hero arts. I bought it last year and love using them for my Halloween cards. I also used the single bats from lawn fawn and the eyes from paper smooches.

I think it gives off a kinda scary spooky feel to the card and love how the pumkins turned out. They really make the card come alive.

I really like how this card turned out and think it can be used to give to just about anyone who loves Halloween whether it's child or adult.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, please feel free to leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.

Halloween Card 2014 number 6

Welcome to my blog today,

Today I'm sharing four mini cards with you today. I made these cards with the thought that they could be in a set. I have four cards with rather the same techniques but look a little different from the others.

I cut down card to get them into squares. I made my own background papers by using distress ink and a blending tool. I love dark purple for Halloween so I used dusty concord.

The first card I used the cat stamp from hero arts and stamp it on the card. I then used the pumpkin from the same stamp set and used adirondeck rusty ink pad and then used WOW copper embossing powder. I didn't know how this would turn out and I never used adirondeck ink pads with embossing powder before and was really lucky and glad with the results. All I have to say about heat embossing is use an antistatic bag first, it really does make a huge difference.

I then cut out paper using xcut nesting dies and ran then through my big shot machine. I then stuck these to the base of the cards.

For the third and fourth card I chose orange as the base and used old paper distress ink for the back ground. I used the left overs from the first two die cuts and placed them around the edges. I used the whole frame for one card and cut of the corners to use on the other. I stamped the vampire and ghost image from papersmooches stamp set and coloured them in using promarkers. I love how the red on the vampire's cloak pops out. I cut out my images and went round the edges with my memento duo pen. I adhered the images using foam pads, then stuck the backing paper to the card base.

I love how these cards go well together and using only minimal supplies. These cards are easy to make and can be given out as invitations or just little cards to give to children like your nieces or nephews when they come around to your house on Halloween.

Big huge tip I've just learnt the hard way

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.

As you probably know I like to have a cup of tea while crafting. In my opinion it just makes it that much easier and makes me feel as if I'm not working. Today however after colouring my image I went to make tea and as I was moving my notebook from my coaster I spilled a little on my image. I know you're all probably think duh everyone knows not to drink tea or be more careful. Its not nice choosing colours carefully and blending them only to have the image totally ruined by a tiny spill of tea. I'm feeling really gutted right now.

Please share your mishaps in the crafting room. I would love to hear from other crafter's like me

Thanks

Love

Halloween Card 2014 Number 5

 Hello Fellow Crafter's

I'm Sharing this fun card with you today. I think this card is so cute, could you just imagine these guys coming to your house trick or treating? I used a Newton's Nook stamp set. I used distress ink on some water colored card using the rough side. I used salty ocean and crushed olive. I coloured the images in with my promarkers. I went over the edges with my memento duo pen. I love this pen it makes all the difference. I used to use an old marker pen and it ruined the image completely. If you are wondering whether to buy this item or not. I would say buy it. It's such a brilliant item a must have. I'd recommend it to everyone.

I had some stars that you can get from any craft shop. The ones that teachers use in childrens notebooks to say well done when they get all the answers right. I used silver and gold ones on my card to give it a little extra bling. I stuck it on using some glossy accents.

Halloween Card 2014 Number 4

I Love how playful this card is.
Hello Crafters,

Welcome to my blog.

Today I'm sharing a cute Halloween card. I love this stamp set from lawn fawn. the bear dressed as a bee and the cat as a witch i loved colouring these guys. such a cute twist to the other critters stamp set.

I coloured them in using my Promarkers. I stamped the images using memento Tuxedo black ink, so it would smudge with the markers. I went over the edges with my memento duo pen so the white edges wouldn't show.

I cut out two circles with my big shot. I put some Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges to soften the edges. I stuck the images on using some foam adhesive. I then adhered them to my base with my tape runner. I used some brown card and drew the word 'Boo' I cut out the letters with scissors glued them using PVA glue.

I like how this card turned out and I think this card would be ideal for any child. A child that maybe loves animals or even dressing up. I cant wait to give it this Halloween. It's getting closer and not long until Halloween will be here. I cant wait till Halloween gets here. Yay, not long now.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Please feel free to leave a comment I would love to hear from you.

Halloween Card 2014 Number 3

My stripy Halloween Card
Hello Guys,

Are you enjoying your Halloween crafting. Today I am sharing a plain card today. No cute critters no stamping just things that everyone would have around the home.

I chose my black pre scored card for the base and cut strips of orange, yellow and green paper. I used the left over yellow paper as a base. I stuck the strips of coloured paper diagonally on the paper using PVA Glue. I still used the yellow strips so there would be no bumps and the card would be even.

I don't have any alphabet dies for my big shot so I used a pencil and drew the letters my self. The good thing about doing it free hand is that you can get any kind of letters you want. I cut the letters with some scissors.

The worst thing about cutting out while watching TV is that I lost a C and a K down the sofa. For a while the card would have read 'Tri and Treat'. I did some more and cut them out and all of a sudden the ones I lost decided to show up. ironic huh? I should really take this lesson but I bet as soon as I have a image to cut I will head over to the sofa and watch TV. It just makes it easier. I find cutting a bit tedious, watching a comedy just helps.

I used Glossy accents and a glue for my letters and when they were all on I decided to use glossy accents on the accents to give the card a little extra something. I stuck the stripes with letters on the base with foam adhesive.

I love how bright this card is. It's not your usual Halloween card. I love how the stripes turned out and the letters look awesome. This card would be perfect for people who don't usually celebrate Halloween. It's not in your face with ghouls and not cute critters. In a way it's plain and simple with cool letters.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. Please feel free to leave a comment I would love to hear from you. Have you made any Halloween cards Please share them.

Halloween Card 2014 Number 2

Hello Fellow Crafter's,
My Vampire Bunny Card

Today I'm sharing an exciting card. I had so much fun making this card and again I made a circle card. Really love the way it turned out. I began with Lawn Fawn Hoppy Halloween stamp. It's one of their smaller stamp sets but I thought the bunny looked so cute I couldn't resist.

I stamped the bunny onto my card using Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured him in using my promarkers. I used more of the darker reds to give it a darker feel. rather than bright and happy. This is a Halloween card after all. I cut out my image and went around the edge with my memento tuxedo black duo pen. It gives it a finished look, otherwise there'd be white edges on the image and would ruin the card completely.

The inside of my Vampire Bunny Card
I cut out another circle from my nesting dies and coloured it with two distress inks. I used Black Soot Distress Ink Pad around the edges to soften the edges against the black card base. I used dusty concord and seedless preserves I used the darker one on the bottom as the ground because i didn't want the bunny to float on the card. I dried the card using my heat tool. You have to be careful doing this because the card will bend and you do not want to burn the paper.

I used a little bat stamp from Lawn Fawn haunted house stamp set and stamped it straight on the card. I thought the sentiment that came with the bunny was so cute and i stamped it straight onto the card too.

I don't usually do anything on the insides of my card but because I was using black card as a base I decided using the purple distress ink again and cut out a circle and stick it on the inside for somewhere to write a message.

I think this would be a cute card to give to friend or as a special invitation for a party. The longest part was the colouring the bunny and blending in the inks. If you have plenty of time for this card and not have to do too many then this card will be a perfect card to make for friends and family.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. I've been really enjoying making Halloween Cards and I'll have another for you soon.

Please feel free to leave any comments whether they be good or bad, trust me i'm still a Learner and your comments will be really appreciated.

Halloween Card 2014 Number 1

Hello Crafty Buddies,

Welcome to my Blog Today

It's finally October and Halloween is just around the corner. I love Halloween, I've always enjoyed celebrating Halloween whether it was trick or treating while I was a child or just watching scary movies with friends and family or even attending a Halloween costume party.

I have just a very simple card to share with you today. I thought it can be used as a normal card or even an invitation. I scored the card and put it through my big shot. I purposely put the die over the score fold. to make the biggest circle card I could.

I then cut out three triangles and roughly drew a mouth for the pumpkin. I added vintage Photo distress ink around the edges of the card and the edges of my shapes. I stuck them on the card to make the features of the pumpkin. I used glossy accents of stick them on as it was already on hand.

I love the way this card turned out. Its quick, simple and easy to make in bulk. if you have many invitations to make for your Halloween party then this is the one make. It's looks brilliant and takes no  time at all and you don't even need many things.

Thank you for Stopping by and please leave a comment below. I would love to hear from you.
