Arrows Card

Last weekend was very sunny and quite warm. I even got to power wash my patio. Today however we have hail stones, I'm not kidding, hail stones and rain. I was so looking forward to seeing the end of winter and the beginning of spring. Rain is getting pretty boring now.


I made another simple card Today. I used three Distress Ink Pads and put the color straight on the water color card. Then used my mister to put water to mix the colors. I moved the water around the card by tilting it different ways. You can take away color by using a piece of tissue paper if it gets too much. I cut it to size with my Tonic Studio's Paper Trimmer.

I used a red Distress Ink on white card and put on a Red Glitter Finish Embossing Powder to give the sentiment a little extra detail.
I stuck it on the water colored card with foam squares. Using different colored gel pens I drew arrows away and towards the sentiment. I rounded the corners with my Fiskar's Corner Cutter and then adhered it to some orange card stock with more foam squares. 


The arrows give it extra color against the dark background. Drawing different types of arrows gives the card a little more detail without adding more elements. the sentiment gives the card a little dimension while keeping it simple and easy to make.
