Just a little something

Hey Fellow Crafters,

I know it's been almost a month since my last post and I'm really sorry. Trying to find some inspiration is a little hard these days.
I've had a lot of stuff to be getting on with. It was Dave's Gran's 90th birthday. We went up to have a meal. It was lovely to see his family. Then it was Dave's birthday. Then his parents came for a visit. Then it was my friends birthday. Along with a that I was getting so stressed at work that I couldn't find enthusiasm or motivation to do some card making. Everything is going okay at work now and I've just let the stress go. No point in worrying.
So I am hoping to be back in my crafting room soon and finding inspiration so I'll be card making until I run put of supplies. Lol.
What do you guys do when there's no inspiration. Any tips or tricks to get the crafting juices flowing please leave them in the comment's below. I would love to hear from you.

Well that it for now thanks for stopping by

Valentine's Card Series 2015 No. 8

Happy Valentines Everyone.

This will be the last Valentine's card in the series this year. I hope you all have a brilliant weekend and enjoy your Valentine's day whether it be with a loved one or not because everyone can enjoy the day.

Today I have a card to share with you. I used card stock from the Papermill and scored it using my Martha Stewart 12" score board. I used some backing paper from Dovecraft paper pack to cut into strips and I stuck them to my card stock with my ATG.

I used a heart stamp from Hero Arts and stamped it with Versamark ink. I used aqua marine heat it up embossing powder. Then used my heat tool to melt it. I used my patterned scissors along the edges. I used Milled Lavender Distress ink to soften the edges against the card stock.

For the sentiment I used my embossing pen to do the I and U. The love sentiment is by a sentiment in Papersmooches A Holly Holiday stamp set. I used silver embossing powder for the I and U and I used red Embossing powder for the love. I cut the sentiment out with my fiskars paper trimmer to get the lines straight. I used milled lavender around the edges and stuck it to my card with foam adhesive. I added some red dash lines with my gel pen around the whole of the card to bring it all together.

I love how this card turned out.  The colours would make it perfect to give to a guy for Valentines day. It's not too feminine for a guy but could even be given to a girl as well. I love making a card for both genders.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. Feel free to leave a comment below. I would love to hear from you.

Valentine's Card Series 2015 No. 7

Hello Everyone,

I have another card to share with you guys. I really enjoyed making this card and I think it turned out nicely.

I used some cardstock from The Papermill and scored it with my Martha Stewart 12" score board. I absolutely love this score board. Scoring cards without it is possible but a score board is so much easier. If you are wondering whether to get one or not how about trying a cheaper version and if you use it every time to score a card like I do now then you can get yourself a good quality score board and tool.

I used my big shot machine to cut out a circle in the lower right corner of my card stock. I stamped two hearts from Papersmooches Zoo Crew stamp set and cut them out with scissors. I got my Xmas red Stickles and covered the hearts with it to make it red and sparkly. After the stickles dried I got some embroidery thread to do inbetween the two hearts then glued the hearts and thread together. I would definitely wait until the Stickles dry properly before doing anything else to the hearts or you'll get Stickles everywhere. Trust me I learnt that the hard way. Not a pretty sight cleaning dry Stickles from your desk.

I cut out a circle border from backing paper and stuck the edges of the thread to it.I stuck the border to the circle hole. When you open the card you's still see the heart in the corner. The border makes the card look tidier and gives it a clean finish.

For the sentiment I stamped Love using a stamp from Crafty impressions Star Greetings. I wrote the rest in my own hand writing with memento duo pen. I really should work on my own handwriting.

I cut out the sentiment strip and put it in the centre of the card and cut off the excess. In the top left corner I put three gems from biggest to smallest. The last thing I did was go around the edges with a red gel pen.

That's the card for today I hope you like it. Thank you so much for stopping by today feel free to leave a comment below I would love to hear from you guys.

Valentine's Card Series 2015 No. 6

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for stopping by today. I have a cute card to share with you guys today.

I scored my card using my Martha Stewart score board and tool. I cut out strips from my backing paper pack and put them on the card with my ATG. I positioned two of them along the  fold of the card and one going across the card.

I stamped my hero arts hearts stamps in various colours. I positioned the hearts on the card. There was no room for a sentiment so I didn't add one. There's already a few hearts on the card so I didn't think it needed one. This was an easy card to make and I really love how it turned out. I just love how all the hearts come together nicely. I didn't add any dash lines to the card because the card was already full of hearts and I didn't want to over crowd the card.

Today was just a short post but the card was quite easy to do. I hope you guys like it and I would love to see what valentine's cards you're making. Please share yours in the comments below I would love to hear from you.

Valentines Card Series 2015 No. 5

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. I am sharing a simple card with easy techniques. U hope you like it.
I got a pre-scored DL card I got ages ago. I can't remember where I got it from exactly. I cut some red backing paper and drew some lines in pencil so I could write my sentiment. I wrote it in pencil first then I went over it with my memento tuxedo black duo pen.

I stamped two images from Newtons nook stamp set called newtons antics. The first was a cat sleeping the second was two cats together. I coloured them in with my promarkers and cut them out with small scissors.

I went around the ages of my images with my mwmwnto duo pen them around the edges of my red backing paper. I stuck the image on the backing paper with glossy accents. Thus is a really glue and is a must have. I stuck the backing paper to the base card with my ATG. This is the first time I've done anything on the inside of my card. I got a pin backing paper from the same paper pack and did the layout the same as the outside.

When I looked at the front of the card I thought it needed a little something. So I added 5 gems in each side then I used brilliance rocket red ink pad and inked the sides.
I really like this card. I think its really cute and not like the cards I usually do. I think its good to get out of your comfort zone once in a while and try something different. Have you done something out if your comfort zone lately?

Thank you for popping by today please leave a comment below.
