Holiday Card 2014 Number 7

Hello Card Makers,

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Christmas is nearly here and I have two more cards to share with you guys. The first is a really cute card. I started by stamping my images with memento tuxedo black ink and colouring them in with my promarkers and cut them out using small scissors.

Next I scored my card base and stamped some snowflakes with my Brilliance Platinum Planet ink pad. The stamp set is called Winter Wonderland. I don't now the name of the company that made the stamp set and haven't found another like it. There are many snowflake stamp sets out there you can choose from. I just love how the ink shines on the card very festive and an effective way to do a background.

I used my Xcut circle die on some backing paper. I used red to make the card more festive. I went around the edge of the circle with my Brilliance Platinum Planet ink pad.

For the sentiment I used some left over red card stock and a stamp from Lawn Fawn. I used some silver embossing powder. I just love how the silver letters stands out. I stuck the sentiment using foam adhesive. I just love this cute card.

For the second card I started with the card base and again used my Winter Wonderland stamp set with Brilliance Platinum Planet ink pad.

I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with Promarkers. I just love my Promarkers. I'm by no means a good blender but I do try my best.

I cut out a circle of white card stock with xcut die and bigshot. To make the sky I cut out a wavy line and put it on the lower bit of the circle. I then used tumbled glass and a ink blending tool to make my sky. When I removed the copy paper it seemed to have worked really well. I stuck my images on the circle and stuck it to the base.

For the sentiment I used the Sentiment the yeti came with. I cut out a rectangle of white card and inked up the sentiment with Versafine Majestic Blue ink pad. I used the snowflakes on the rectangle too as it looked a bit bare on the top and bottom. I didn't want to trim it as it was more or less the same length as the circle.

So there you go two cards using the same layout but look a bit different. It just goes to show how much colours can effect the feel of a card. I just love these two cards and know that they're destined for special people.

Feel free to leave a comment below I would love to hear from you.

Love
