Holiday Card 2014 Number 3

Hey Everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Today I have two cards to share with you. They're made from the same stamp company Lawn Fawn. I love these cute stamps, especially when they have those cute little smiley faces.

For the first card I used Cosy Christmas stamp set. I stamped all the images and coloured them in with my Promarker's. I did found the fire a little tricky to do but I think it turned out okay. I cut out all the images and went around the edges with my memento Tuxedo black duo pen.

I got the backing paper from a paper pack I got from Lidl. I had to cut out a square of ivory card to stick straight on the backing paper. I also stuck the fire straight onto the ivory card. I stuck the mantle piece and everything on top of the mantel with foam squares to give the card some depth. the stockings I stuck on with a little glue.

For the sentiment I used Brilliance red ink pad on white card stock with a stamp from Lawn Fawn bows and holly. I inked the edges with brilliance red ink pad and stuck it towards the top of the card.

For the second card I used the same backing paper I got from Lidl. I cut out a tree shape and inked the part where bark would be with gathered twigs Distress ink. I used a different patterned paper for the bucket where the tree would be in. I stuck them straight on the card base.

I stamped my images with memento Tuxedo black ink. I used Lawn fawn pa rum pa pa rum stamp set and coloured them in using my Promarkers. There wasn't much blending involved as the images were so small. I cut them out being really careful. I had to use my craft knife for a little bit on the rocking horse. I cut off the arms and hands from the drum as it was too difficult to cut out and would be too flimsy. I stuck them on the card under the tree. I used glossy accents on the drum and train and on the wood bit of the rocking horse.

For the sentiment I used the same sentiment as I did the first card but moved it in a shape on the tree to make it look like tinsel. I used the red brilliance ink pad.

I think these cards turned out pretty cute and would be happy to give them to someone in the family who likes cute things almost as much as i do.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and feel free to leave a comment. I cant wait to hear from you. Have you already finished your Christmas cards? I would love for you to share them with me, please leave a comment below.
