Three Cards With Same Techniques.

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog today

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. Its been a bit crazy around here. I only have five shifts left in my job and its getting a bit nerve racking. Everyone's been saying how hard it is to get a job and I have never been without a job for more than a couple of weeks. I just hope I find something soon.
I've also been busy sorting out my crafting area. I've been searching the web for some ideas on how to store things. My crafting supplies are growing at a speed I cant quite keep up with. I will share it all with you when I have finished.

Today I am here today to share some of the cards I made the other day. I had no time to share them with you then, so I thought I'd share them with you now.

For the first card I made the background using Distress ink. I blended the browns and yellows and I think it looks really nice. I used my Lawn Fawn Critters Down Under stamp set and colored them in using Letraset Promarkers. I adhered the koala and the bird to the tree using pva glue then stuck all the images to the background using glue as well.
I Stamped my sentiment using white Ink but it didn't come up right so I waited for it to dry then went over it with a silver metallic gel pen. These pens are handy for little mistakes like this and I'm glad I bought them when i did.

After making my mother a new home card I decided to make another. I used my Paper Smooches bitty bungalows stamp set and used most of the images. I colored them in using Promarkers
and stuck them to the background using pva glue. I used glue because there was so much to go on the card I didn't want to spoil it by using dimension. I stamped my sentiment using my alphabet letters from Hobby Craft. I bought it on sale weeks ago.
The background was made using distress inks and a blending technique. I used my greens to get a gradient look.

The last card is another kitty card. I used Distress inks in the same way as before only this time I used a light purple blended in with a pink. I really like how this background turned out. I colored in my images using promarkers and stuck them down with glue. I tried my white ink pad again with no luck and used my gel pen over it to cover another mistake.

I stuck all my card front onto some plain card stock using foam adhesive squares. Over all I'm happy with my cards. the same techniques can make very different cards.
